Schaffer's Mill Update The July 4th weekend at Schaffer’s Mill was a very successful event. A total of 16 properties were sold for over $10 million in volume. This included half of the home sites in the new Alpine Ridge neighborhood and the first 4 Mountain Lodge models in the newly opened Vista Ridge neighborhood. Due to the weekend’s success, Shaffer’s Mill is planning to release 20 home sites in Alpine Ridge, which is the last section of prime mountain-view home sites. Schaffer’s will also be releasing the next 10 Mountain Lodges in Vista Ridge. These three and four bedroom plans have direct views of the ski-slopes at Northstar. Lake Tahoe Market Update July 2014

MARKET UPDATE:

After a successful grand opening of Tree House, the Mountainside community continues to shine with another Home Run Townhome going into contract yesterday and pending at a price of $1,850,000.  This leaves Home Run with just 3 residences left and only one 3 bedroom out of 16 total Townhomes.  The sales offices at Northstar in the Village and at the Ritz Carlton have been very busy with prospects wanting to look at inventory and search for their dream property to use this winter.  Northstar and the other resort communities will see plenty of showings during these peak summer days as the buyers will be narrowing down their focus to the property that best suites their needs.  We will typically see a surge of offers in the fall as there is urgency to get into a property for Thanksgiving dinner and the upcoming ski season.  If you find a property that is a good fit I recommend getting ahead of the curve and making an offer – this should help keep you competing with the multiple offers and urgent buyers we see every fall.

The Barrett-Jackson auction cruises to Reno at Hot August Nights!

The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions™ comes to Reno to join the world’s premiere classic car and nostalgia festival. The Hot August Nights Auction Presented by Barrett-Jackson marks a historic partnership between two of the most recognized names in the classic and collector car industry.  The auction will take place at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.

 

The partnership between Barrett-Jackson and Hot August Nights offers fans and customers of both the classic car event and collector car auctions a weeklong opportunity to celebrate and revel in some of the most recognizable and historic automobiles in the world. Not only will buyers be able to bid on and purchase from Barrett-Jackson’s famous selection of collector cars, but now they can take them right from the auction block to the streets of Reno Tahoe to participate in one of Hot August Nights’ famous cruises or show-n-shines.
